Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct Code of Conduct

This is a statement setting out guidelines regarding the ethical principles and standards of behavior expected for FICT members.

Nothing is more important than Safety

A safe work environment is a corporate asset and the foundation of our management.

We will act with safety as a top priority in all our activities.

We will promote and establish KYT (hazard prediction training), comply with relevant laws and regulations and work procedures, and create a workplace with a clear system of responsibility for occupational safety, traffic safety, occupational health, and safety and disaster prevention.

We respect human rights

We respect the human rights of each individual and do not engage in acts of human rights infringement such as unfair discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, creed, gender, social status, family origin, disability, sexual orientation, or other factors.

You must not sympathize with, encourage, or tolerate such acts.

Sympathizing with or overlooking the human rights violations of others will also lead to approving and encouraging such acts. In addition, we may be harming others by our words and actions without realizing that we are discriminating against them.

In order to detect discrimination and to avoid or prevent discrimination, we must correctly understand and recognize human rights issues and cultivate a spirit of respect for human rights and a sense of human rights.

Each and every employee must act with a resolute attitude of not tolerating discrimination and other human rights violations, which will lead to our social reputation as a company.

We comply with all laws and regulations

We must sometimes reflect on whether our actions are correct in light of the law.

Violating the law is never acceptable, even if we act out of a spirit of love for our company or even if we think we are doing the right thing.

In conducting business, we must be aware of social conventions, common sense, and business ethics on a daily basis, carefully checking and inspecting our actions beforehand to ensure that they do not violate the law, and respecting and complying with social rules such as laws, treaties, government ordinances, regulations, and customs.

In doing business overseas as a global company, FICT must also fully understand the history, customs, and ethnicity of each country, and must act with a good understanding of and respect for the laws and customs not only of its own country but also of those of other countries.

We conduct fair business practices

We must be fair in all our dealings with customers, suppliers, and competitors.

We must not discriminate without reasonable cause, and we must always treat our business partners with humility.

We must not use unfair means against competitors and must maintain fair competitive relationships in all cases. We must always keep in mind that any agreement or discussion with competitors regarding restrictions on prices, production, sales volume, suppliers, sales territories, or other matters may impede fair competition and constitute a violation of laws and regulations, or may be in serious danger of violating such laws and regulations.

We protect and respect intellectual property

FICT's intellectual property is the product of a great deal of money and effort, and has a very high property value. It is important for us to understand that the knowledge and know-how possessed by each and every one of us at FICT is a powerful weapon that gives us an advantage in our business.

At the same time, we must respect the intellectual property of other companies and obtain and use it through due process.

We maintain confidentiality

Proper handling of information is fundamental to our business activities. Information can be leaked outside the company with relatively simple carelessness, and once leaked, the damage can be devastating and FICT's credibility can be lost. Therefore, we must understand the rules for handling information correctly according to the type of information, comply with those rules thoroughly, and act with a strong awareness of security on a daily basis to prevent the inadvertent leakage of confidential information or personal information.

Handling of our own information

In the course of our daily business activities, we have access to a variety of internal company information. Such internal information is basically confidential to the company and may not be disclosed outside the company without following the appropriate procedures, nor may it be used for any purpose other than to conduct company business.

Handling of Information of Customers and Other Third Parties

We may disclose or receive confidential information based on contracts with suppliers or customers. Such confidential information of third parties (confidential information of other companies) is subject to various conditions imposed by each contract, including the purpose for which the information is to be used, how it is to be managed, and for how long. We must handle such information appropriately so as not to violate contractual confidentiality obligations.

Handling of Personal Information

When we collect and accumulate personal information in the course of doing business and use it for our operations, we must manage and use it appropriately in accordance with the laws and regulations of each country.

We do not use our position in the business for personal use

We do not use our position for personal purposes

We must not use or dispose of (sell, rent, etc.) FICT property, including software and equipment owned by FICT, for any purpose other than the performance of our duties.

Furthermore, we are prohibited from using any undisclosed information about FICT or other companies obtained through our employment with FICT to trade in stocks or securities.
